People are often surprised by the level of hunger occurring in their own communities.
Unfortunately, this problem is more pervasive than we realize and more resistant to change than we would like. Meaningful awareness and actionable impact are both critically important to help make a difference.
Feeding America had recently benefited from one of the most successful rebranding and repositioning efforts seen in not-for-profit work in recent history. With the momentum of big business and big celebrity involvement, Feeding America engaged us to help them tackle an integration project.
Because they had several digital properties that had grown up independently, the challenge required finding the most rewarding, meaningful paths of user experience.
The solution we implemented was a multi-faceted effort. It included the reinstallation of content management and marketing systems, integration with donation (ecommerce) systems and volunteer acquisition and engagement.
We redesigned FeedingAmerica.org from the ground up to make it easier for potential donors to get involved.
Weekly promotions were updated via a sophisticated integration with back-end content management.
Multiple online properties now integrate at both the experience level and the technical systems level, allowing the organization to drive more effective awareness and donation-driven campaigns.
