If you’ve grown up with American football, you have some concept of how the game is played.

But in the same way we might be baffled by the concept of a 5-day cricket match, audiences in China, South America, and Europe struggle to understand what the NFL is all about.

Clearly, we had to figure out a way to entice this new audience. But before the fun could begin, we needed to map out a behind-the-scenes process founded on years of research by the NFL itself.

Turns out they had a lot of insight about how football is taught. The challenge, then, was how to effectively share those insights with our audience.

Manifest created an experience that established levels of learning, free range exploration within those levels, and incentive systems that would extend marketing programs that drove audiences to our learning experience.

We also incorporated elements from video games, instructive video break-downs, and player interviews.

The result was a compelling experience that makes sense to the uninitiated and is helping the NFL connect with an entirely new audience. Soon, the Super Bowl title of ‘world champion’ could be a literal truth.
